While the Trump family and their supporters have in recent weeks focused on Greenland and the country’s large deposits of strategically important raw materials, known as rare earth metals, two decisive new things have already happened for the development of the fledgling Greenlandic mining industry.
You can say that reality is about to overtake the Trump family’s possible own ambitions to gain access to the raw materials, of which the four so-called ‘magnetic metals’ in particular are crucial for both the high-tech arms industry and the green transition.
