Japanese equipment manufacturer THK is presenting a prototype electric vehicle called THK LSR-05 at the 2024 Paris Motor Show, equipped with a wireless charging system.
The 90th edition of the famous Parisian motor show is also an opportunity to discover new models, like this THK LSR-05 presented by the Japanese equipment manufacturer THK.
A 100% electric crossover foreshadowing the future of mobility
THK: this name may not mean anything to you, but it is a Japanese automotive supplier, which has no less than 37 factories around the world. THK has developed numerous technological innovations, all grouped together in this THK LSR-05, a 100% electric crossover of which a prototype is currently on display at the Paris Motor Show.
The design of this real technology showcase was designed by SN Design Platform, and the model spans 4,995 meters in length, 1,965 meters in width and 1.53 meters in height. “The LSR-05 represents THK’s outlook for the future of mobility. The vehicle was designed to validate and demonstrate how our latest technologies can help increase the value of cars.”explains Akihiro Teramachi, the CEO of THK.
The four opposing doors invite you to board this cabin which can accommodate up to four people, and where technology is highlighted with numerous screens placed on the dashboard, which is a real digital panel.
THK LSR-05: a concentrate of technologies
In particular, we find on board three screens acting as rear-view mirrors, an instrument cluster placed in front of the driver, a central touch screen, as well as an additional screen for the front passenger. The materials are contemporary with light wood, leather or even light blue microfiber.
The 100% electric engine consists of an electric motor at the front with a power of 299 horsepower (220 kW), and at the rear of two motors integrated into the wheel hubs, each developing 126 horsepower (93 kW). ). There is also a four-wheel steering system, as well as active suspensions.
The THK LSR-05 stands out for its numerous on-board technologies : we find in particular a stealth seat sliding system, an active level control suspension, an active shock absorber tube, an enemo variable magnetic flux wheel motor, an electric parking brake, as well as a system of wireless charging.
For the moment, no detailed technical information has been communicated regarding performance, battery, autonomy or even charging power.
The THK LSR-05 can be discovered at the 2024 Paris Motor Show, which opens its doors from October 14 to 20, 2024 in Paris.
