An example for Team Romania at the Olympic Games! Novak Djokovic, qualification in one leg for Serbia in the tennis final

Novak Djokovic qualified for the men’s Olympic tennis tournament final in style! His great desire is one step away from being fulfilled, after he clearly defeated the Italian Lorenzo Musetti, score 6-4, 6-2.

In a superb atmosphere, in which he never encountered what happened in the match with his rival Nadal, Djokovic played with great pain, proving that he wants an Olympic title for Serbia at all costs.

Novak Djokovic, one step away from fulfilling his big dream, the Olympic title with Serbia

Former world leader and one of the most respected athletes in the world, Novak Djokovic overcame the big problems he had during this period and he is sure of a medal at the Olympic Games.

The stands were filled only in the last minutes, after even half an hour before the start there were many empty seats. The Serbian did not abandon the fight, he entered the field and demonstrated why he is capable in front of Musetti, who gave him problems only in the first set. The difference was made right at the end, when Nole made the break and took the set.

Then, the two players lost their serve on the conveyor belt, and the decisive moment, also noted by Serbian journalists, took place at the score of 2-2. Then, Nole imposed himself without problems on the Italian’s service, and until the two-set victory over the Italian was just one more step.

In the end, Nole simply collapsed to the ground in a gesture that showed the intense effort he put forth on a day when some thought he would not be on the field.

The emotional scene at the end of the match in Paris was captured by Mihai Pop, the ProSport photojournalist

Hundreds of Serbs came to cheer on Novak Djokovic: “Most are from Western Europe!”

Hundreds of Serbians turned out to cheer on Novak Djokovic in the match that took the former world leader to the grand final in Paris.

“Most of them come from Western Europe! I didn’t expect there to be so many”, one of the Serbian journalists at the press table told us. He continued: “Nole fights in all conditions for us.”

Most of our neighbors, however, are rooting for the basketball team, which hopes to reach an Olympic final this summer.

The old-fashioned Italians made Philippe-Chatrier a sensation

As expected, Italian journalists came in large numbers to Lorenzo Musetti’s match against Philippe-Chatrier.

This is precisely why another special ticket was needed for access to the press table, in addition to the accreditation you use for the sports events in Paris.

With probably many strong matches active, perhaps the oldest Italian journalist took notes on a notebook like in the old days, given that in the west printed newspapers are still in high demand.

I’ve been waiting for this for almost 20 years. I have played in four Olympic Games, this is the fifth edition for me, so far I have never made it past the semi-finals. I lost three semifinals in my first four Olympics. I managed to overcome this big obstacle. I have to be honest and say that I thought about all the semifinals that I lost” – Novak Djokovic, after qualifying for the men’s Olympic tennis final
