A resident of Latvia addressed an unfamiliar driver with a touching appeal in the Ezduna group on Facebook.
– Thank you, kind person, who was driving towards Patarnieki yesterday (Saturday evening – editor’s note) at around 21.30, who saved us from a terrible collision with a moose! It’s scary to think how everything could have ended if it weren’t for you. You just saved our lives. More precisely THREE lives, including the life of my child. I wanted to turn around, catch up with you and hug you.
Endless thanks to you and God bless you and your loved ones with health and prosperity.
Commentators took an active part in discussing the situation. Some shared their experiences. Others were joyfully surprised that there are still people among us who are ready to help and take care of other, strangers.
– It’s all just friends, I noticed a moose on the side of the road and an oncoming car blinks your headlights until you catch up with the oncoming car, how many times have you been saved like this… drive carefully and take care of yourself.
– Really good health and good luck to this man! Saved me from big trouble!
Even the encounter with a roe deer that I experienced a month ago caused problems! And about the moose, there’s nothing to say about the consequences!
“It’s just the first time I’ve encountered something like this.” Just like I saw a moose for the first time in my life on the road. Therefore, I just wanted to thank the kind person, maybe he is in this group and will read it.
– It’s great to read such comments and posts, it’s a real balm for the soul
– A few years ago, a truck driver warned me the same way, only the elk wasn’t walking there, but was standing right in the lane I was driving in, and with low beams I wouldn’t have seen him in time (so that I could stop completely).
