An organized cannabis plantation with 1,838 seedlings was detected in Vardousia

More than 1,800 cannabis seedlings were found by the police of the Patras Narcotics Prosecution in an organized cannabis plantation, in the forest area, Vardousia, of Fokida, while the cultivators are being sought to be arrested.

According to the Police, the harvest from the cultivation of the 1,838 seedlings that were detected, would reach approximately 920 kilograms of cannabis, while the illegal financial benefit from the cultivation and trafficking of cannabis ranges from 1,836,000 euros to 2,746,000 euros.

As for the timeline of the case, after the utilization of the data collected by the Patras Narcotics Prosecution, an operation followed, in which police officers from EKAM and the Lidoriki department also participated.

During the police operation, the organized plantation was located in a specially designed area, which was surrounded by dense forest vegetation and was divided into five levels.

Also, the cultivators had installed a makeshift watering system with two tanks of 500 liters capacity each, while inside the plantation area they had erected two makeshift wooden sheds and set up three tents.

The police officers of the Patras Narcotics Prosecution are continuing the investigations into the case and the arrest of the cultivators, while the case file will be submitted to the Criminal Prosecutor of Amfissa.
