An update to One UI 6.1.1 brings many new features to your device

As presences in the field of mobile telephony, Samsung’s new Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 attract everyone’s attention, but apart from the powerful components, they are also accompanied by the appropriate firmware, the renewed One UI 6.1.1. This new version brings many new features, especially improved camera features and Galaxy AI, which will eventually be available for current devices as well.

If you don’t plan on upgrading to one of the two new foldables right away, you can be sure that some of the features will be available to you as long as you have a fairly recent high-end Samsung model.

By upgrading to UI 6.1.1, you have access to the following camera features

The camera software development team revealed details about the features coming to older devices on Samsung’s official forums for South Korea. The Galaxy Z Flip 6’s Auto Zoom feature, which automatically zooms in when recording in Flex Camera mode, will be released for the Galaxy Z Flip 5. The Flex Camcorder feature is also coming to this model.

The ability to instantly share a slow-motion video without having to save it as a separate file is now coming to the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, Galaxy S23 and Galaxy Tab S9 series. Generative AI features such as Portrait Studio, Sketch to Image and Live Effect are all coming to the Galaxy Z Flip and Fold 4/5, Galaxy S22/23/24, Galaxy S23 FE and Galaxy Tab S8/9 series.

Motion Clipper, which lets you create GIFs of people or objects in a moving photo, is also coming to the aforementioned devices. Raw Editor, which enables DNG editing in Galaxy Photo Editor, is also coming to the same devices, only the Galaxy S23 FE is excluded.

It is unclear when Samsung plans to release the One UI 6.1.1 update for these devices, but at least now we know which devices will receive this update. There is also a chance that One UI 6.1.1 will roll out to some other devices, but we’ll get to know about that and what features it might offer a little later.
