Android 15 now available for download and Spotify update (Android News #42 2024)

Android 15 is finally officially available for download and Spotify is getting a big new feature. This is the most important Android news of the week.

Android 15 is now available for download! This is new in the update

We had to wait a while, but Android 15 has finally been officially released by Google. The update will appear slightly later than Android 14, which was released in early October last year. Google Pixel smartphone users can now download and install the latest Android version.

If you have a smartphone from another brand – such as Samsung, OnePlus or Motorola – you will have to wait longer for the update. It is now up to manufacturers to release Android 15 for their own phones and that may take some time. One brand is relatively quick with updates, while another company needs (much) more time.

Oppo Find X8 Pro

To start with, we see renders in all kinds of colors of the upcoming Oppo Find X8 smartphone. In the pictures we see that the device has a large and colorful screen, with the corners being large and rounded. In everything, the device resembles the Google Pixel 9 series and Apple’s current iPhones.

On the back there is a large and round camera island containing three lenses and various other sensors. The single front camera can be found in a small hole in the display. We see renders in four colors: black, white, blue and pink, but the question remains in which markets the device will be released in which color schemes.

Motorola is testing AI that can order coffee for you

Motorola Edge 50 Neo review

When you think of artificial intelligence on smartphones, you might think of removing objects from your photos. Or help with drafting texts. However, Motorola will soon take a different approach with its AI. The company unveiled its plans at the Lenovo Tech World 2024 conference.

Motorola sees AI primarily as a personal assistant. For example, once it’s finished, Moto AI will be able to order coffee for you from the nearest coffee shop. You will automatically receive a message when your latte macchiato is ready, so all you have to do is pick it up.

You can also use the company’s video service, which allows you to stream films, documentaries and movies. A price increase has been announced at the end of 2023. As a result, you now pay 4.99 euros per month, or 49.99 euros if you take out an annual subscription.

Via Broadcast Magazine we now read that from 2025 commercials will be shown while watching. That’s one must said Amazon, allowing them to continue investing in specific and unique Prime content.
