Android phones have a new “buzzer” function

  • Google has developed a new feature for Android mobiles
  • It alerts you when using apps or games for too long
  • It is part of the Digital Balance suite

Sometimes it’s easy to forget about time. Especially if you watch videos or scroll through social networks. However, many experts agree that it is not very beneficial for our brain or psyche. That’s probably why Google has introduced various tools that try to signal to users that it’s time to put down their mobile for a while. He tells them Digital balance.

A new function named Screen time reminders (Screen time reminders). This must first be activated manually in the settings of your Android mobile phone – but you don’t have to worry about it anymore. Then, if you use an application for too long, a warning will appear on the screen that you are already spending a lot of time in it. It should prompt you to turn it off and put your phone away.

The strange thing is that there is no set time anywhere when such a notification from Google will appear. It can be after 15 minutes as well as after 30 minutes. However, you can choose which apps or games it will appear in and which you want to keep it disabled.

Screen time reminders they are not invasive and you can safely ignore them. Or maybe turn it off again.

Currently, Google has implemented them on mobile phones with the Android operating system, but not on all of them. It’s about brands Pixel, OnePlus, Oppo or Nothing. Strangely enough Screen time reminders you won’t even find Digital Balance on Samsung Galaxy models yet.
