Andy Murray announced on Tuesday that he will play his last tennis tournament at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The 37-year-old Briton left a message on social media announcing his intention to hang up his rackets for good.
“I have arrived in Paris for my final tennis tournament. Competing for Great Britain has been by far the most memorable few weeks of my career and I am incredibly proud to be able to do it one last time,” Murray wrote.
The player is expected to compete in Paris’2024 in the doubles and singles tournaments, looking for his fourth or fifth Olympic medals.
Murray won gold in singles at London 2012 and silver in mixed doubles, alongside Laura Robson. In Rio de Janeiro in 2016, he won the singles tournament again.
