Angelina Jolie makes this astonishing statement about her character as Maleficent

While Angelina Jolie had supposedly been confirmed for the casting, the famous actress made a surprising statement.

And the presence of Angelina Jolie in the costume of the main character, Maleficent, had nothing to do with it! Her duet with the springtime Elle Fanning, who appeared as a convincing Princess Aurora, charmed the public. For a budget of 180 million dollars, the live-action brought in 758 worldwide. This is how a sequel was made official by Disney: but with an equivalent budget, this sequel was less convincing, raking in $491 million worldwide.

Angelina Jolie “up” to reprise her role

When Angelina Jolie was asked by our colleagues at Deadline if she would like to reprise her role as a Disney villain, she responded enthusiastically thatelle “would love to play him again“. Although the Wall Street Journal claimed last year that she would be in the casting of Maleficent 3 (besides, the film would have no meaning without her), and that the latter was in preparation, it would seem that things are not as simple as that. The actress’ words imply more of a possibility than an assertion : the fate of this sequel is very certain, and many years may pass before the film (perhaps) sees the light of day…
