(Health Korea News / Lee Soon-ho) On the 1st, Anguk Pharmaceutical held an opening ceremony for the Anguk Pharmaceutical Gwacheon R&D Center at the Anguk Pharmaceutical Gwacheon headquarters located in the Gwacheon Knowledge Industry Center to promote the company’s advancement as a research-oriented company.
The newly expanded Ankuk Pharmaceutical Gwacheon R&D Center has an exclusive area of approximately 3,740 m² (approximately 1,130 pyeong), which is about three times the size of the existing Seoul research center. With this, we have expanded the number of top researchers who can develop DDS-based improved new drugs and bio-new drugs, and have the best research environment for active joint research.
In April, Ankuk Pharmaceutical moved its headquarters to a new building in Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town, and at the opening ceremony, it emphasized horizontal, autonomous communication without hierarchy by breaking down the walls between departments and individuals. Accordingly, the company-affiliated research institute in Daerim-dong and the central research institute in Guro were integrated into an R&D center to enable free exchange of opinions among research personnel.
Meanwhile, Ankuk Pharmaceutical established a corporate research institute in 1994, and in 2007, established a central research institute at Gyeonggi Bio Center and launched the fifth domestic natural product new drug, ‘Synatura Syrup’. In 2013, the central research institute was expanded and relocated to Guro Digital Complex to expand research infrastructure.
