(Health Korea News / Lee Chang-yong) Ankuk Pharmaceutical announced on the 12th that it has launched a new product, ‘Mela Good Night’, containing plant-based melatonin.

Melatonin is a hormone that is mainly secreted from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m., and is called the night hormone. It is actively produced and secreted in the brain at night. Melatonin, which has a significant effect on creating biological rhythms, is known to be secreted in the highest amount in the teens and decreases with age.

Melatonin in plants is produced to protect themselves from extreme external environments such as cold, heat, and ultraviolet rays. It is characterized by the same structure as the melatonin in the human body.

The newly released ‘Mela Good Night’ product from Ankuk Pharmaceuticals uses 100% vegetable melatonin tart cherry complex. Each tablet contains 2mg. It additionally contains 8 types of synergy ingredients (magnesium, grape seed extract powder, L-tryptophan, L-cystine, L-theanine, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, inositol) to help you get a good night’s sleep.

An official from Ankuk Pharmaceutical said, “Melagoodnight is a product containing plant-based melatonin, so students, office workers, housewives, and others can all take it with confidence,” and “We hope that on days when you have irregular lifestyles or a lot on your mind, Melagoodnight will help you end the day comfortably and wake up refreshed in the morning.”
