ANM, on alert! The weather changes RADICALLY: Rain and snow!

National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has updated the forecast for the coming days and announces cold weather with rain and snow.

The director of ANM, Elena Mateescu, announces that, starting this weekend, the weather will cool down throughout the country. In the southeastern part of the country precipitation will appear, and in the higher areas we will have sleet and snow. In depression areas there will be a rock-crack frost, with minimums of -10 degrees and a sharp wind, which will accentuate the feeling of cold.

Night temperatures below 0 degrees in the capital as well

“Indeed, a significant change in weather this weekend, especially starting tomorrow, when the weather in the east and south of the country will cool down sharply. We are talking about values ​​up to 9-10°C at the most.

At the same time, precipitation will also appear that will accumulate isolated 10-20l/m² especially in the south-eastern part of the country and precipitation predominantly in the form of sleet and snow even in the mountainous areas, not only high, but also in subcarpathian areas.

Including in the Capital we will have colder weather, a maximum around 9 degrees, a minimum quite lowered to minus. We will have minus values ​​in the pre-town area, up to 0-1 degrees at the rest of the weather stations in the Capital.

The lowest values ​​will certainly be in the depressions, where it is possible to reach the frost threshold again below -10° in the depressions of eastern Transylvania, to at most 5-6° in the lower areas of the south-west and west of the country.

Even the beginning of next week will be of interest from the perspective of the temperature regime, the weather will remain cold. After the second half of November, the temperatures will slightly increase, so that the weather becomes warm and we record values ​​of 17-18°C again”, said Elena Mateescu at Antenna 3 CNN.

Frost cracks the rocks in depression areas

The director of the ANM shows that in the depression areas in Transylvania we will have -10 degrees and strong gusts of wind that will accentuate the feeling of cold.

“The lowest values ​​will certainly be in the depressions, where it is possible to reach the frost threshold again below -10° in the depressions of eastern Transylvania, to at most 5-6° in the lower areas of the south-west and west of the country.

The wind will also be of interest, because the gust speeds will be able to reach and exceed 40-50km/h in a context where, associated with the drop in temperatures, the feeling of cold will be greatly amplified.

What will the weather be like in December?

The first days of December bring frost and sleet and even snow in the mountain areas. The daytime temperatures will not be higher than 4 degrees Celsius, and at night the thermal values ​​will not exceed 0 degrees.

The second week of the first winter month brings sleet and cold weather. The minimums will reach -3 degrees Celsius, and during the day they will not register more than 5 degrees.
