Model and host Anne Kukkohovi has had to see up close how wildfires rage in Los Angeles.
He has made an update about it on Instagram.
– I never thought I would experience something like this. On Tuesday evening, it started to get very windy, even downtown, where the skyscrapers block the worst winds, Anne Kukkohovi tells about the situation.
He says that he woke up on Wednesday with his lungs full of smoke.
– On Wednesday morning, I woke up with puffy lungs (from smoke) and the next night I moved to Santa Monica, an area where there is no immediate danger. I left at dawn, avoiding the evacuation routes.
According to him, despite the unpleasant situation, people do not complain, but everyone helps each other.
– No one complains, everyone helps each other. A friend who lost everything comes to mind. A few weeks ago I lived in Altadena, which is now completely level with the ground.
– The atmosphere is truly apocalyptic, but I love how people consider others, help is available everywhere.

The rescue personnel are busy
A total of five separate fires have caused enormous destruction in the Los Angeles area. The fires have burned more than 14,000 acres, according to the California Fire Department.
So far, 11 people have been reported dead. In addition, 150,000 people have still been ordered to evacuate, he says Los Angeles Times.
According to Anne Kukkohovi, the reason for this is that the rescue personnel are hard pressed due to budget cuts.
