The police administration launched the national campaign “Table” for the purpose of increased traffic control with a special emphasis on license plates.

In the announcement of the Police Administration, it is stated that, through analytical monitoring of the situation in the field of road traffic safety, they determined an increase in the number of vehicles participating in traffic without license plates, that is, with an improper number of license plates.

“It was noticed that some vehicles do not have any license plates, that they have only one instead of two license plates, or two instead of three in the case of a combination of towing and towed vehicle,” said the police.

As they said, this is why the police administration launched a national campaign of increased traffic control – “Tablica”, which will have a permanent character.

“The primary goal of this action is to improve the state of safety in road traffic, with a special focus on drivers who drive vehicles without prominent license plates, vehicles with an improper number of plates, unregistered vehicles, as well as vehicles whose traffic license has expired,” the announcement states. .

It is added that it has been noticed that vehicles that only have a basic insurance policy and a record of the vehicle’s technical inspection are often participating in the traffic, which, as they explained, is in contradiction with the Law on Road Traffic Safety.

The Police Administration reminded that the driver cannot drive the vehicle on the basis of the mentioned documentation, but only on the basis of a valid traffic license or a certificate of the submitted request for vehicle registration, issued by the Ministry of the Interior.

The police administration appealed to all traffic participants to respect traffic regulations and thereby contribute to both personal and safety of all other traffic participants.
