Shortly after Elon Musk got into trouble with Brazil and even blocked the entire X/Twitter there (with the fine for usage also applied to the users from Brazil themselves), another lawsuit is aimed at Elon Musk. This time it is his company SpaceX, which allegedly illegally entered foreign land, which it irreversibly destroyed with its activities.
This land located in the territory of Texas in Cameron County belongs to the company Cards Against Humanitywhich is behind the card game of the same name. She bought it in 2017 with money raised in a crowdfunding campaign. 150,000 of her supporters gathered there and donated $15 each in an effort to prevent then-US President Donald Trump from building the planned wall between the US and Mexico.
But Elon Musk’s SpaceX also has its plots nearby. And according to the leadership of Cards Against Humanity, SpaceX workers damaged their land when they passed through, compacting the soil and destroying vegetation. In addition, there has been construction around, which the management of the company does not like at all. When they called, SpaceX allegedly gave them an ultimatum. “After we caught them, SpaceX gave us a twelve-hour ultimatum to accept a low offer for less than half the value of our land. We said: Fuck you, Elon Musk, I’ll see you in court.” the company said on its website.
After Musk, SpaceX is now demanding damages of 15 million dollars (about 336 million crowns). Should Elon Musk be reluctant to pay, the plaintiff has one more settlement proposal – Twitter is said to accept damages as well.
