Next, the weather seems to undergo radical transformations. Following Cyclone Boris, a new cyclone is approaching the continent, and its effects are being felt in Romania.

ANM predicts a wave of rain in the coming hours. Looks like another cyclone is crossing our country. In some areas the rains will be heavy.

Water quantities will also be high. Experts estimate an amount of more than 25 liters per square meter. What regions will the cyclone pass through?

It will rain in the south and center of Moldova. It has already been raining here for several hours and it looks like the situation will continue. Extreme phenomena are also expected in Dobrogea, but also in the southeast of the country.

“The rains will continue in the already troubled areas in the southern and central parts of Moldova. At this moment and in the following hours we will have cloudy systems, showers that can also be torrential and, as a result, can still leave quantities of water. They won’t be very big, but big enough for what has already happened in the area. We expect quantities of 15-20, isolated even over 25 l/m2. We can have such cloudy systems and rains and even amounts of over 20-25l/m² completely isolated this afternoon and evening in the southeastern part of the territory, more precisely in Dobrogea.

In Muntenia, completely isolated, they may be accompanied by electrical discharges, given that we are also talking about intensification of the wind this afternoon and towards the evening”, according to the modified ANM weather forecast.

Also, a yellow code was established for a few more hours for the southeastern part of the country, including the coast. Heavy storms are expected in the coming hours.

Thus, the cyclone passing through the country brings with it extreme weather conditions. Whether things will be different this weekend remains to be seen.

“Also in the south-eastern part of the territory, in the south of Moldova, in the east of Muntenia, in Dobrogea, there will be wind intensifications with speeds of 50-60km/h and at night and tomorrow the intensifications will be greater in the Dobrogea area, respectively on the coast, over 60km/h. In Constanța county, at night, we expect significant amounts of water, by accumulating 20-30l/m²”, explained meteorologist Alina Șerban, at Antenna 3.
