Anthropic Claude’s chatbot is also available for Android

The Android version of Claude is free and available with all plans, including the Pro and Team levels.

At the beginning of March, the startup Anthropic, whose investors include Amazon and Google, announced its large language model family called Claude 3, which it claims surpasses OpenAI’s GPT-4 model. The company launched its iOS mobile app in May, which is now being followed by the Android version: according to a blog post on Tuesday, it is now also available from the Google Play Store available a Claude app, under which the Claude 3.5 Sonnet model works.

Like rival services, the Claude mobile app answers users’ questions in the form of a chatbot, which is a significant improvement because Claude was previously only available through the Anthropic Claude.ai website and third-party model libraries, such as Amazon Bedrock, Hugging Face or On Microsoft Azure platforms.

Anthropic entered the market with its mobile application somewhat slowly, and Google’s Gemini joined it in time, along with OpenAI’s ChatGPT. The Claude app is free to use at idle for all users of Claude AI models, including free users, Claude Pro subscribers, and customers of the newly launched Claude Team package.
