According to information, it all started when the owner of the basement went with a locksmith as the persons who had rented the specific space stopped, in the last months, paying him the amount of money they had agreed upon.
But when he opened the door he couldn’t believe his eyes…
According to what has become known, weapons, a large number of cartridges of various calibers and explosives were found.

The “heavy” armament was placed in tapers and boxes and as can be understood an alarm was immediately raised.
Firefighters were called to the scene and the area was cordoned off.

The security authorities consider the case very serious and, according to information, the contents of the warehouse have “piqued” the interest of the Anti-Terrorism Service.
All the weapons were taken to the forensic labs while the site will be scanned for fingerprints and genetic material.
Of crucial importance is the testimony of the owner of the basement and whether he had ever been in contact with the tenants.
The possibility that this particular house is related to the explosion in Ampelokipi is also being considered.
According to a statement from the Special Crimes Directorate, “an investigation is being carried out in an apartment in an area of Athens, where weapons and explosives were found stored. A newer update will follow.”
