The leader of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), Danijel Živković, commenting on the negotiations between the Movement for Podgorica and the coalitions PES-Democrats and For the Future of Podgorica, assessed that “obviously some serious blackmail took place”.
He was a guest on the show Načisto on Television Vijesti and said that no new information came to them after the meeting they had with the representatives of the Movement for Podgorica and the Civic Movement URA.
Živković also said that it is obvious that the Movement for Podgorica and GP URA are not together.
“And that speaks volumes about the frivolity and fragmentation on the political scene,” he said.
He recalled that the Movement for Podgorica was performing on an anti-government platform before the local elections.
“They said that they were dissatisfied with the way the city administration worked and functioned while they were in the coalition. What happened in the meantime, from the statement that they will not negotiate with those who are destroying the Constitution in one day, to the next day calling for negotiations with those with whom did the government yesterday remains an open question. Obviously, some serious blackmail happened,” said Živković.
