Apple has a very ambitious new plan to conquer the smart home

A new, even more aggressive strategy is being planned by Apple in order to succeed in conquering the smart home market, according to a new report. Despite past struggles in this area, Apple is reportedly developing a new homeOS operating system, a smart display and a high-tech robotic desktop device.

This interesting revelation was made by the Apple Insider, Mark Gurman , who suggests that Apple’s renewed focus on the smart home will be driven by three key elements: displays, artificial intelligence and software. The company plans to introduce affordable iPad-style displays that can be placed around the home, similar to the HomePod mini. These screens will allow users to access various functions such as streaming content, making FaceTime calls and browsing the web.

Artificial intelligence will play a more important role in all of this and will be a critical element of Apple’s smart home. The company’s AI platform, Apple Intelligencewill enable advanced home automation and precise control of devices and applications. Gurman believes the robotic desktop device, which is expected to be priced around $1,000, will be the first real product built from scratch for the Apple Intelligence service. This device is said to use AI to understand its environment and interact with users more intuitively.

In terms of software, Apple is developing a new operating system called homeOSwhich will be based on the tvOS platform used in Apple TV set-top boxes. The company also recently updated its Home app, indicating its commitment to improving the user experience for smart home devices.

Gurman notes that Apple’s previous efforts in the smart home market, like iPod Hi-Fi and the original HomePod, were not very successful. However, despite past challenges, Gurman believes Apple has a chance to succeed in the smart home market.
