Apple has unveiled the iPad mini 7, which will serve as a gateway to Apple Intelligence

Apple rather unexpectedly announced the new iPad mini 7. Various speculations talked about the unveiling in the spring – when it didn’t happen, Apple was supposed to push the unveiling to November. In the end, neither happens and the announcement comes without much fanfare, with a simple press release and product placement on the website.

The new small iPad may be new, but it does not bring many major innovations. The main change is the A17 Pro processor, with which comes better connectivity such as WiFi 6e and BT 5.3. There was an increase in RAM to 8 GB and the implementation of Apple Pencil Pro support. The iPad mini 7 is thus expected to support the upcoming Apple Intelligence, making it one of the cheapest ways to access artificial intelligence from the brand. And that’s… everything.

And that’s probably enough. The small tablet market is a very specific and small market, but it’s obviously big enough for Apple to show (albeit minimal) interest in it. For example, the American giant directly mentions doctors and pilots. The price for the lowest model is set at 15,490 crownscustomers in the EU will, in contrast to other continents, be deprived of a power adapter, so they will only receive a braided power cable.
