In his weekly PowerOn newsletter, Gurman presents information about new products that will be presented by Apple. This time they concern home accessories.
Gurman claims that the American giant is considering the possibility of introducing smart home accessories that would be compatible with HomeKit as well as a home control center, which is expected to debut next year.
The company’s plans include cameras and lighting. Apple could create an indoor security camera that could also be used as a baby monitor.
At the moment, it is not known what emphasis Apple will put on the development of this segment. Perhaps the decision will be influenced by the good reception of the above-mentioned home control center.
Apple is likely to place a strong emphasis on privacy in these products, providing an alternative to cameras from companies such as Amazon Ring and Google Nest, which have little customer trust when it comes to data security.
