Apple is working on an App Store equivalent, but only for games

Apple continues to delve deeper into the gaming field. Now it has become known that the company is developing its own gaming center.

The new application, according to 9to5Mac, will combine the functionality of the App Store and Game Center. At the same time, the latter will not be disabled, but will be deeply integrated into the new service.

The program will have several tabs, including Play Now, a tab for the user’s games, friends, and more. In the Play Now section, users will find editorial content and game suggestions. The app will also display challenges, leaderboards, and achievements. Games from the App Store and Apple Arcade will be presented in the new store.

The service will promote special gaming events and information about important updates. Additionally, Apple is experimenting with integration with FaceTime and iMessage, likely to help players communicate with each other. Finally, developers will be able to provide mini-games based on App Clips. (9to5)
