The beta version of the Apple Maps web app is now available to the general public, making Maps available right in your browser around the world.
Users can now get driving and walking directions, find great places and useful information including photos, hours, ratings and reviews, perform tasks like ordering food right from a Maps listing, and browse expert-curated guides to discover interesting restaurants, shops and cities around the world. More features, including Look Around, will be rolling out in the coming months.
All developers, including those using MapKit JS, can add links to the web version of Maps in their apps to provide users with directions, detailed location information, and more.
The Maps web app is currently available in English and works in Safari and Chrome on Mac and iPad, and Chrome and Edge on Windows PCs. The list of supported languages, browsers, and platforms will expand over time.
