Apple Music introduces playlists based on concert setlists

Apple continues to innovate its service Apple Music with a new feature that allows artists to create playlists based on their concert setlists. Thanks to this innovation, artists can share songs performed live with fans, making the post-concert experience more engaging and offering a unique way to promote future tours.

Integration is simple: artists can turn concert setlists into playlists directly through the tool Apple Music for Artists. These playlists will then appear on artist pages on Apple Music, on Shazam in the concert section, and even in the results of Spotlight Search with iOS.

According to Apple, this system allows artists to:

  • Promote future concerts: By sharing playlists on social media, artists can keep awareness of their tour.
  • Bringing the live experience to life: fans can relive the emotion of the concert by listening to the exact lineup of the performances.
  • Create a more direct connection with their listeners, providing personalized content linked to live performances.

While the feature just became available to all artists, Apple has already partnered with some of today’s hottest stars. Taylor Swift, BeyoncĂ©, Sabrina Carpenter e Post Malone are among the names that have already used this tool, with more than 450 playlists shared since Apple began experimenting with this feature.

This new feature isn’t just reserved for big artists: everyone, regardless of their popularity, can use this opportunity to promote their music and interact with fans in innovative ways. This is a potential boost for the visibility of emerging or niche artists, who can now make their music known through concert lineups.
