No hope to see on iPhone 17 models that are not Pro versions to incorporate telephoto/periscope cameras. Will prefer for the next year Apple to make it an exclusive privilege of the Pro variants to bring this special feature that ultimately likes many who try their photography talent with an iPhone!
The testimony comes from a publication of the electronic newspaper The Elec which claims that periscope camera telephoto lens will remain exclusive to the Pro models in next year’s lineup, even though LG Innotek – which makes iPhone camera modules – is investing in new facilities, presumably to produce upgraded camera modules for the next iPhone 17 lineup.
The new set of iPhone 17 series is expected to consist of four models – iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air (or Slim, as it will be called), iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Since the periscope cameras on the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max have 5x optical zoomyou can expect next year’s Pro version to offer at least 5x optical zoom, but you won’t get that with the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air/Slim.
