New iPhones come with better cameras, bigger displays, more powerful processors and thinner bezels.

Apple has introduced a new series of iPhone 16 smartphones, which brings several key improvements over previous models. We will focus on the ten most significant innovations that the iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max bring.

10 important changes that the new iPhones 16 come with:
- Larger display
The two higher models, the 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max, have larger displays. The iPhone 16 Pro received a 6.3″ OLED display, with the iPhone 16 Pro Max the diagonal even increased to 6.9 inches. The iPhone 16 Pro Max can therefore boast the largest display that Apple has ever used in a smartphone – it has a 6.9-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which guarantees a smoother and smoother image. The display of the iPhone 16 Pro has a brightness 20% better than the display of the iPhone 15 Pro (1200 nits in HDR). 120 Hz displays are still only part of the Pro models .
- Thinner display frames
The new models have the thinnest bezels in iPhone history, which provides an even better viewing experience and allows for a larger display without significantly increasing the size of the device itself. The iPhone 16 Pro has a frame with a thickness of only 1.2 millimeters, in the case of the iPhone 16 Pro Max it is even 1.15 mm. For comparison: the previous model iPhone 15 Pro has a frame with a thickness of 1.71 mm.
3. A18 Pro chip and 8GB RAM
The heart of iPhone 16 is the new A18 Pro chip with 3nm architecture. It offers up to 15% higher CPU performance and 20% faster graphics, which significantly improves the overall performance of the device. The new chip has a six-core processor, five-core graphics and a sixteen-core Neural Engine. The improved Apple A18 Pro processor, which has one additional graphics core, is ready for the Pro models. All four models now have 8GB of RAM due to artificial intelligence.
4. Improved camera
iPhone 16 Pro comes with a 48MP ultra-wide lens with better quality in 0.5× mode. Also new is a 5-fold optical zoom for close-up shots and a sapphire protective lens layer that protects them from scratches and does not limit the amount of light passing through the lenses.
5. New camera button and “action” button for all models
There is a new camera control button (capture button) on the side of the phone, which allows you to easily adjust exposure, zoom and depth of field by moving your finger along the button. Press gently to sharpen the image, make the shot stronger. This feature makes shooting more intuitive. The action button from last year’s Pro models made it to all iPhones, including the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. This button replaces the previously used physical Mute Switch, and has a variety of uses – you can use it to activate the flashlight, camera, open a preset shortcut, turn Focus mode on or off, activate or deactivate silent mode, etc.
6. Support for 4K video at 120 fps
The new models support video recording in 4K resolution with a frequency of 120 frames per second, which is the highest combination of resolution and frame rate in the history of iPhones. This results in smoother videos with more detail, ideal for demanding content creators.
7. Battery life
Thanks to the better energy efficiency of the A18 Pro chip and the enlarged battery, the iPhone 16 Pro Max boasts the longest battery life in the history of iPhones – up to 27 hours of video playback.
8. New titanium design
The Pro models are made of durable titanium, which is available in four colors: black, white, natural and Desert Titanium, which replaces the blue. This material reduces the weight of the device and at the same time increases its durability. The basic models will remain aluminum and will be available in black, blue, green, pink and white. It will replace the previously used yellow one.
9. Spatial Video function
iPhone 16 Pro Max supports spatial video that is compatible with Apple Vision Pro, which allows you to record videos that you can later watch in virtual reality with an immersive 3D effect.
10. Qi2 wireless charging
Also new is faster wireless charging through the Qi2 standard with a power of up to 25 W, which allows the device to be charged faster than previous models. Through MagSafe, you should recharge the battery by 50 percent in half an hour, basically as fast as via the cable.
