Apple released to developers the third beta of tvOS 18.2offering new features and improvements that enrich the Apple TV experience. This update arrives a week after the second beta.
In this particular beta, Apple added new screensavers dedicated to Snooopy and his friends.
One of the most interesting improvements of tvOS 18.2 concerns advanced support for projectors with an aspect ratio 21:9a feature much appreciated by users who use the Apple TV in home theater environments. The update also introduces several other options, allowing users to choose the setting that best suits their device and ensuring optimal compatibility with screens and projectors of various sizes.
Another useful feature is the Apple TV’s ability to automatically detect the aspect ratio of the connected deviceselecting the most appropriate configuration for optimal vision, without the need for manual adjustments.
Registered developers can download the new beta directly from the Settings app on theirs Apple TVselecting the option to participate in the beta program. A registered developer account is required to access the download and test new features.
