The companies TSMC e Amkorresponsible for chip manufacturing and assembly respectively, announced today the signing of a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on the manufacturing and testing of chips in Arizona. This partnership aims to accelerate the chip production cycle, especially for customers using advanced technologies TSMC.

Apple has already confirmed that Amkor will take care of the chip assembly Apple Silicon products in the nearby facility TSMC. This is part of a joint plan for expand production in the United States. This marks an important step towards reducing dependence on Chinese supplies and strengthening domestic semiconductor production.
