Prime Video is trying something new across the Atlantic.

The Hollywood Reporter according to Amazon and Apple have entered into an agreement whereby Apple TV+ will arrive in the USA as one channel on Prime Video. Up until now Prime Video has been available from competing streaming services Max, Paramount+, AMC+ and Starz.

Apple TV+ will also continue to operate as an independent service, so it will not be integrated into Prime Video in any way. In practice, it’s just a new distribution channel for Apple’s own series and movies, nothing else.

It is also worth noting that, although the subject has been prominently reported in the international media this week, the change will not apply to Finland. Our Prime Video doesn’t include competing services.

The only major recent change to Prime Video is the possibility to rent and buy movies digitally, which arrived in Finland in August.
