Apple TV+ Scores 72 Emmy Nominations

The Emmys are one of the most prestigious awards in the broadly defined television industry. This year, Apple TV+ productions received as many as 72 nominations.





The series “The Morning Show” has received the most nominations of any Apple TV+ production this year, with sixteen of them. It will compete for the title of best drama series, while Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, who play the main roles, have a chance at awards for best leading actresses, and Mimi Leder has a chance at the award for best directing. The series also received many nominations for supporting roles and several in technical categories, including set design and make-up.

Eleven nominations were received by the series “Palm Royale”, which will compete for the title of best comedy series. The series’ stars Kristen Wiig and Carol Burnett received nominations for their roles. The series also received nominations for costumes, set design and opening credits, among others.

The series “Chemistry Lessons” received ten nominations, including for best limited series. Brie Larson, who stars in the series, is up for the award for best leading actress, and Millicent Shelton received a nomination for directing. The series also received nominations for, among others, the opening credits and musical score.

“Lame Horses” received another nine nominations, including for Best Drama Series, Best Screenplay and Best Editing. Gary Oldman was nominated for Best Actor, Jack Lowden for Best Supporting Actor, Jonathan Pryce for Guest Appearance and Saul Metzstein for Directing.

Other Apple TV+ productions nominated for Emmys this year include “Steve! (Martin): A Documentary in 2 Parts,” “Masters of the Air,” “Physical,” “Girls State,” “The Silo,” “Eugene Levy: The Reluctant Traveler,” “A Christmas with Hannah Waddingham,” “Cash,” “Up in the Air,” “The New Style,” “Carpool Karaoke: The Series” and “Sugar.” Apple also received nominations for “Album Cover” and “Fuzzy Feeling.”
