Apple updates HomePod mini with a new midnight color

In recent weeks we have been finding many rumors and news about the supposed new device that seems to be brewing at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino. Apparently it would be a hybrid device between a HomePod and an Apple TV, with a touch screen that would incorporate a new operating system of which we have already seen some lines of code in the latest operating systems of the Big Apple. However, Apple gives one of lime and one of sand and has just updated the available colors of the HomePod mini, replacing the previous space gray with a midnight color, no new features or anything extraordinary. Just a new color.

HomePod mini changes: midnight color replaces space gray

Through a brief press releaseApple has given the news of the day: A new color comes to the HomePod mini. Remember that until now we could buy the HomePod mini for 109 euros in five different colors: blue, yellow, space gray, white and orange. A lot of colors if we compare the only two colors available in the original HomePod: midnight and white.

HomePod mini users can listen to a catalog of over 100 million songs with Apple Music and enjoy room-filling sound with a single speaker, in a stereo pair, and with multi-room audio. To enhance entertainment, users can even use the smart speaker to create an immersive home theater experience with Apple TV 4K. With Siri, users can access a variety of musical expertise and search by artist, song, lyrics, decade, genre, mood, or activity.

The new color of the HomePod mini is known as midnight, available on the larger HomePod. So what looks more like a new color than a tweaking of the terms to bring the colors of the two HomePod models closer together. Because if we look at the colors of space gray and midnight we see that perhaps the latter It veers a little more towards the blue chromatic range than space gray.

So today’s news about the HomePod mini comes slightly watered down as this update It does not include any new features or new hardware… only a new color, quite similar to the space gray that it replaces, and that distances us a little further from a new generation of this device or even the launch of that hypothetical new device that seems to be being developed by Apple.
