Beta 3 of watchOS 11.1 for Apple Watches is here and will be withdrawn immediately. Apparently the update makes smartwatches unusable.
Beta versions are not final versions. You always have to be clear about this when installing such software. WatchOS 11.1 for Apple Watches in Beta 3 now shows what can happen if you take the risk. Like, among other things MacRumors reported that some users experienced “frozen” Apple Watches after Beta 3 was installed.
The Apple Watch could be restarted, but a short time later the Apple Watch would “freeze” again, according to user reports. The even bigger problem: users cannot reset the Apple Watch software themselves, but have to send their watch to Apple to fix the error.
It is the third software problem at Apple in a short time. Just a few days ago it was announced that Apple had to stop shipping iPadOS 18 for M4 iPad Pros. There is still no solution for this error. The Apple HomePod also had various problems with Software 18.1 Beta 2.
