Applications for the All-Russian competition of technology circles 2024 are now open

The acceptance of applications for the All-Russian competition of technology circles 2024 has started. Clubs in programming, robotics, cyberphysics, space technology, UAS and other areas, student technology teams, as well as organizations that comprehensively develop circle work are invited to participate. Registration is open until December 31 on the website https://konkurs.kruzhok.org/.

The competition is organized by the NTI Club Movement with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the NTI Platform ANO.

In 2024, the competition will be held on three tracks. The “Technology Clubs” track is intended for clubs that develop children’s interest in engineering, allow students to gain experience in team solving engineering problems, and provide professional navigation for schoolchildren. In this nomination, age leagues are distinguished: for students in grades 1-4, 5-8, 9-11, as well as inter-age clubs.

The “Student Technology Teams” track accepts applications from student associations and circles at universities and colleges, as well as youth startups, student design bureaus, etc., which are developing technology projects.

Schools, universities, colleges, technology parks, CMITs, Quantoriums and other organizations are invited to the track “Environment for the Development of Technological Circles”, on the basis of which several circles operate and conditions are created for the scientific and technical creativity of young people.

“Today in Russia special attention is paid to the development of additional education in the field of science and technology, the involvement of children in engineering and technical creativity. The All-Russian competition of technology circles helps to collect and demonstrate the diversity of the environment for additional technological education, to identify and replicate the most successful practices that turn circles into an environment for supporting and developing the talents of children and youth. We invite everyone who, together with us, is raising a new generation of technology leaders in Russia to take part in the competition and share their work,” – invited the Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Olga Petrova.

“The All-Russian competition of technology circles has been held since 2019. During this time, the competition covered more than 3,800 clubs from all over the country, through which many Russian schoolchildren come to the projects of the NTI Club Movement, prepare for and participate in the National Technology Olympiad, learn programming and immerse themselves in the field of unmanned aircraft in useful games, comply with TechnoGTO standards, and assemble teams and develop technology projects together with mentors. Around the competition, a community of technology circle mentors grows every year – its participants exchange experiences and launch new joint projects, and the winners of previous years return to the competition as experts,” – noted the Vice-Rector of the National Research University Higher School of Economics, leader of the NTI working group “Circle Movement” Dmitry Zemtsov.

Participants of the All-Russian competition are located on the interactive Map of technology circles in Russia https://map.kruzhok.org/. Also, the NTI Circle Movement annually publishes a final collection with the best practices for organizing circle work in different regions.
