Arab countries react to Israel’s attacks on Lebanon

In a written statement made by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was stated that the security developments in Lebanon were being followed with great concern.

The statement warned about the repercussions of the expansion of the area of ​​violence in the region on the security and stability of the region.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs also stated in its statement that it was concerned about Israel’s attacks on southern Lebanon.

The statement said that international efforts should come together to prevent bloodshed and drew attention to the need for civilians to be safe.

It was also stated that it was imperative to resolve disputes through diplomacy rather than violence, away from the language of conflict and tension.

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi said in a statement that they stand with Lebanon and called for “the restraint of Israeli attacks.”

In his post from his X account, Safedi called on international circles to stop the tension in the region without delay and to restrain Israel’s aggression.

On the other hand, Jordanian news agency Petra reported that King Abdullah II had a phone conversation with Lebanese Prime Minister Naguib Mikati and said that his country stands by Lebanon.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry condemned the dangerous escalation by Israel towards Lebanon.

The ministry condemned the large-scale military “operations” that caused the deaths of hundreds of Lebanese, including women and children, in a statement on the X platform.

The statement said that Egypt was completely opposed to any violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty and territory, and called on international powers and the United Nations to intervene immediately to stop Israel’s escalation of tension in the region.
