Shakespeare and Victor Hugo in Arcane
Let’s start with an analysis absent from Bella’s video, which instead compiles the images hidden in the credits of season 2. This credits contains numerous references to literary classics, as Gamesradar points out.
We think in particular of Caitlyn, who holds her head in her hands, her shadow drawing a crown in the background. These few seconds thus refer to Macbethby Shakespeare. The positions of Ambessa and Mel evoke another work by the English playwright: Julius Caesar.
Viktor, for his part, recovers a mask which seems strangely familiar, since it resembles that of the Phantom of the Operaa novel by Gaston Leroux, transformed into a successful musical comedy. Finally, Jinx waves a revolutionary flag, in the style of Misérables.
Note that all of these works are tragedies, in which the main character dies at the end. A common point which is not insignificant, when we know that Ambessa, Viktor as well as Jinx die during the conclusion ofArcanewhile Caitlyn loses her left eye. When we tell you that Fortiche has an eye for detail.

The credits ofArcane begins with a shot of Vi and Jinx, back to back. But depending on the episodes, the appearance of the latter changes. In episode 6, his face is replaced by that of Isha, just before she decides to sacrifice herself to stop Warwick/Vander. A death that tears our hearts, just like that of Jinx, who finds herself in a state of immense distress, during episode 8. The opportunity for Fortiche to hide another image about herself, in this chapter in particular .

Episode 7 of season 2 shocked all fans ofArcanedepicting a romantic relationship between Ekko and an adult version of Powder, in an alternate reality. This budding love culminates in a memorable dance scene, to the song My best enemy of Apple and Stromae.
A pendant, which itself has a hidden meaning, symbolizes the intense bonds they have formed together. This gem is obviously found in the credits, when Ekko appears there for the first time.
The Hextech heart from episode 3
At the center of the plotArcane, lies a crucial technology: the Hextech core, which has powerful characteristics. In episode 3 of season 2, he takes Jayce, Heimerdinger and Ekko into space and time, towards unknown destinations.
In the credits, the Hextech heart appears on this particular chapter, when Jayce is dazzled by a strong light. For episode 7, which reveals his journey through Hextech, we even see the character who holds Jayce’s hammer, in this parallel universe that he visits despite himself.
The pink cross on Vi’s face for episode 7
In the alternate reality explored by Ekko in episode 7, Powder is a completely different young woman, who never became Jinx. It must be said that his destiny was turned upside down by a traumatic event: the disappearance of his sister, Vi, in his adolescence. The pink V usually drawn on his face thus transforms into a cross, suggesting his death from the credits.
The blue cross on Caitlyn for episode 9
The final battle ofArcanein episode 9, offered us epic fights, but also tragic destinies. Caitlyn is then deprived of the use of her left eye, against all expectations. A future suggested from the credits of episode 9, which prints a blue cross on his face, at this precise location.
Heimerdinger’s sacrifice in episode 7
The character of Heimerdinger, a well-known scientist in the universe of League of Legendsis one of the most important supporting roles ofArcane. He unfortunately meets a premature end during episode 7, since he sacrifices himself in order to allow Ekko to return to his own reality. Just after showing his power, that of going back in time, the credits reveal a flash, containing Heimerdinger’s face. No, we’re not crying at all.
Viktor et l’Hextech
Finally, the credits obviously refer to dear Viktor, who experiences a breathtaking evolution throughout the two seasons ofArcane. A progression demonstrated from the credits: episode 1 shows him as a prisoner of Hextech, since he is only freed in episode 2. The final chapter shows a darker side of the character, with his piercing yellow eyes, as he takes a darker turn as the story progresses.
