Architecture students from Kragujevac create art from aluminum cans

KRAGUJEVAC – Students of the Faculty of Philology and Arts in Kragujevac on the Interior Architecture study program, with the support of the Apatin Brewery, created an exhibition entitled “Reflections”.

The work “Reflections” represents the second phase of the “Art of Urban Life” project, and within the subject Ephemeral and ecological architecture, a connection was established between the topics of ecology and sustainability with topics belonging to the domain of ephemeral architecture. The basic material for creation was aluminum cans, and one of the key inspirations was interventions in public spaces such as memorial parks.
The project was conceived through three lines of research – poetics, space and material.

“We are extremely pleased to be part of this great project, which is fully in line with our long-term campaign “Recycle and You”, within which we collaborate with art students, in order to promote the importance of recycling and the circular economy and show how from packaging and our real art can be created from a can,” says the Apatina Brewery.

The mentors and authors of the concept are MA Natalija Bogdanović, assistant professor and Bojana Pašajlić, PhD, assistant professor, and the students who participated in the project are: Nikolina Milovanović, Tijana Jelić, Maša Živković, Nina Stojković, Anđela Knežević, Jovana Suljević, Luka Šimšić, Marija Radisavljević, Matija Pavlović, Stefan Marković, Tijana Balević, Anica Simović, Marta Milojević, Nevena Preković, Sara Stojanović, Sofija Vladetic, Luka Rilak, Kristina Vasić and Anastasija Petrović.
