Are these fungi a cure for a radioactive environment?

Saša Spačal, graphic designer and bioartist, paid tribute to all those who suffered and gave their lives to teach us about life in radioactive toxicity with her project Radiotrophic Fungarium at the Ars Electronica exhibition in Linz. In it, he considers fungi “forming radiation shields, growing into coats, face masks, blankets, scarves and the like to provide protection to those victimized by the patriarchal capitalist system and nuclear colonialism.” Why mushrooms? With a reason. Some species not only survive radioactive radiation, they even seek it out and use it as a source of energy for growth.
