Tuesday morning 12.11. the police received a report of an armed robbery at a pharmacy in Lohja.
According to the police, a 60-year-old man had come to the pharmacy and covered his face with his bag.
When the customer who was shopping at the pharmacy had left, the suspect approached the employee. The suspect had taken out a handgun and demanded the employee to give medication. After that, he left the pharmacy.
Several patrols went on the mission. At the scene, the police learned the suspect’s identification marks and his vehicle’s registration number.
– Moments later, the patrol found the vehicle in question in front of the suspect’s apartment, and the suspect himself was inside the apartment. However, the police managed to get the man to come out of the apartment by talking, says Crime Commissioner Robin Hulden.
Stolen medicines were found in the man’s possession and he was arrested on suspicion of aggravated robbery. The man had thrown the weapon, which turned out to be an air pistol, onto the ground on his way. The police have found a gun.
