Two thieves have been arrested by the army for stealing and selling iron angles of Nagar Dola in Anwara.
They were arrested from Barshat Union of the upazila on Thursday (November 14) afternoon. The arrested Md Arman Uddin Jisan (19) and Md Osman Shamim Joy (18) are residents of Boalia village of Barshat Union.
According to army sources, local people arrested two thieves while stealing and selling Nagar Dolar’s iron angle in Boalia village on Thursday afternoon. Later the locals handed over the two thieves to the army.
Confirming the matter, Anwara Army Camp Commander Captain Md. Nafees Sadiq Rifat said that the two arrested are local professional thieves. There have been several thefts in the area. They were arrested and handed over to Anwara Police Station for legal proceedings.
