Arsenal remains on Liverpool’s heels

Arsenal FC has jumped to second place in the Premier League thanks to international soccer player Kai Havertz.

Havertz scored the goal of the day in the 23rd minute in the 1-0 (1-0) mandatory win against newly promoted Ipswich Town, Arsenal moved past city rivals Chelsea FC with 36 points.

The gap to league leaders FC Liverpool is six points – the Reds still have a game in hand. It was Havertz’s seventh goal of the season in the league and the Gunners’ third competitive win in a row.

Previously, German team manager Fabian Hürzeler had been unable to end the results crisis with Brighton & Hove Albion. The 0-0 draw against Brentford FC was Brighton’s sixth league game in a row without a win.
