While AI brings many benefits to manufacturing, as with other industries, there are challenges. The cost of implementing advanced AI technologies can be high, especially for smaller companies. Also, there is a need to adapt the workforce to new technologies, which means investing in training and education of employees.

Data and infrastructure security is also a challenge, as production systems become increasingly connected, making them vulnerable to cyber attacks. Companies must ensure that their AI systems are adequately protected to prevent potential threats.
