As if he had thrown her into the Seine. Bronze skateboarder from Paris showed what his medal looks like after a week – Paris 2024 Olympics – Summer Olympics

Skateboarding bronze medalist Nyjah Huston shared a video with fans in which he complained about one of the most valuable pieces of his career. We are talking about the precious metal that he brought for third place at the Olympics in Paris.

The American, who also met Slovak Richard Tury in the street finals on July 29, shared a video a few days ago in which he expressed his opinion on the quality of the Paris rewards for the top three.

With 12 X Games gold medals to his credit, Huston is considered one of the best skateboarders around.

Therefore, he celebrated the success under the five rings during the last days. The medal was either hanging around his neck, or he was lending it to his friends.

However, the 29-year-old skateboarder began to notice after some time that the medal was in increasingly worse condition, with the bronze paint starting to peel off in several places.

On Thursday, he let us know how things look with the medal after a week. “These Olympic medals look great when they’re brand new, but after me or my friends wore them for a while over the weekend…”

He pointed the phone eloquently at his medal. “Evidently they are not as high quality as you would assume. It doesn’t look good.’

The sight of the medal was truly pitiful. “As far as the Olympic medals are concerned, we should probably raise the level of quality a bit,” he said, looking at the much-worn award.

“Copper reacts to sweat, common knowledge,” one fan wrote to the skateboarder. Another added that the medal looked “like he threw it into the Seine”.

“When an Olympian complains about the quality of the medals, maybe it’s time for the Olympic Committee to consider the materials used in the production,” thought another commenter.
