As if he was the leader and the others were sheep. Weiss shocked me a bit, he can’t behave like this, he attacked the captain of the Whites ex-representative – Sport – Football – European Cups

One of the experts present, the former Slovak national team goalkeeper Kamil Čontofalský, leaned on the captain of the Slovak champion Vladimír Weiss Jr.

“He certainly didn’t fulfill what was expected of him. He held the ball unnecessarily several times. before the first goal he passed it unnecessarily, then there was a corner and there were more such moments.

In the second half, he had a passage from the 45th to the 70th minute, when he coughed on his player several times, instead of actively moving, he walked around the field.

He cannot behave like this in modern football! I remember him as an above-average, fantastic football player,” the former goalkeeper of Zenit St. Petersburg reproached Weiss.

He didn’t even like the statements after the match. “I was shocked when he said ‘we didn’t convert a chance’, but that was his unconverted chance. Or saying ‘I’m proud of my team’, as if he was the leader and the other players were just sheep.

I have to say that I’m a little shocked by him, because I definitely had much higher expectations from him,” the 46-year-old retired goalkeeper shook his head.

He called captain and coach Weiss Sr.’s son one of the weakest links in the team that showed up in Glasgow on Wednesday night.

“I guess he mentioned that this will be his last season and he wants to enjoy it. He has the age and determination to show something more, but it won’t come with this kind of performance on the pitch.

Weiss said that ‘I will fight and we will improve’, but first of all he has to start improving with himself, because he was one of the weakest players on the field,” Čontofalský added about the 34-year-old Weiss junior.
