ASRock presented the new range of graphics cards Radeon RX 7900 Passive Serieswhich includes AMD’s two top models cooled without any fanThese are variants specifically designed for the system integrators and professionals.
Let it be the RX 7900 XTX that the RX 7900 XT feature a generous heat spreader that extends across the entire PCB area. The system boasts V-cut aluminum cooling fins high efficiency and a vapor chamber heat sink which allow to maintain a rather low thickness.
On the other hand, the cards are designed for the Multi-GPU parallel computing. Unlike consumer models, in fact, the RX 7900 Passive Series uses a 12V-2×6 connector to simplify the installation of two or more units by reducing the number of power cables. Finally, Both the backplate and the plate for fixing to the PCI slot of the case are made entirely of metal to ensure a solid structure and stable fixing.
As for the Radeon RX 7900 XTX, the maximum clock remains unchanged from AMD’s specifications, but the base clock is reduced as it goes and 2300 MHz at 2270 MHz. In the case of the Radeon RX 7900 XT, however, the base clock rises to 2025 MHz (2000 MHz the official specification), while the boost clock stops at 2395 MHzjust 5 MHz less than AMD indicated.
The remaining specifications remain unchanged, except for the aforementioned power connector. At the moment, ASRock has not yet shared availability or pricing of the new Radeon solutions.
