At the Logi Play 2024 event, we were finally able to admire the new Astro A50 5th Genfor years a reference solution for those who want high quality audio with the freedom of wireless connectivity. Many new features have been introduced compared to the previous generation, mostly inherited from the model A50 X that we saw earlier this year.
The headphones, in fact, are based on the same architecture as their bigger sisters and maintain the same specifications. What changes instead is the Base Station that excludes the HDMI switch. Cross-platform compatibility is still maintained as well as functionality PlaySync Audioin this case however exclusively via USB.
In essence, Users can connect up to three gaming systems like PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and more through the USB ports on the back of the base. With the press of a single button, they can quickly switch between devices.
Like the A50 X, the new A50s are also equipped with the driver PRO-G in grafene that offer superior sharpness. Combined with the open design of the A50, the new drivers ensure a high level of detail for greater immersion in the gaming environment.
As with all Logitech wireless peripherals, the new Astro A50 now also uses the Logitech Wireless Protocol. Lightspeed for the 2.4 GHz connection that reduces latency and interference. However, there is also the Bluetooth connectivity con mixing audio. In addition, the Bluetooth connection allows you to make the most of the headphones even from mobile devices thanks to the application Logitech G per smartphone e tablet.
The real novelty of the new Astro A50 family, however, is undoubtedly the microphone with noise cancellation and sampling 48 kHz. This ensures crystal clear, broadcast-grade voice making the headset ideal not only for multiplayer gaming, but also for streaming.
The new Astro A50 will be available at major retailers starting in October in the variants black and white at the recommended price of 299,99 euro. In the meantime, the new headphones can already be pre-ordered from the Logitech G website.
