Türkiye has suffered a lot from Ataturkists for a while. Today, the damage done by social media Ataturkists to both Ataturk, our country and the unity and integrity of our nation has reached a level rivaling that of Turkey’s sworn enemies.
In the words of Gazi Mustafa Kemal, the Commander-in-Chief of the War of Independence, our common goal is to raise our country above the level of contemporary civilization. Any action aimed at disrupting the unity and solidarity of this nation, regardless of the purpose, is a direct betrayal of the trust of Gazi Mustafa Kemal.
Those who want to idolize Atatürk, as well as those who completely ignore Atatürk, will not be able to shake Gazi’s place in the hearts of our nation. Evaluations disconnected from historical facts will not change this situation.
Throughout the history of our Republic, every period has been plagued with many insidious games that serve the same purpose but under different appearances.
If Gazi had survived to rule the country for at least another ten years, we would undoubtedly have seen a completely different Türkiye after World War II.
