Tour operators are not recording mass cancellations of tour bookings to Cuba due to a failure of the country’s energy system.
About this stated in the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).
“At the moment, tour operators are not recording mass cancellations of tour bookings to Cuba, but there are difficulties with confirming new applications,” the message says.
It is noted that flights to Cuba from Sheremetyevo Airport depart on schedule, large hotels are provided with generators, but problems may arise with the use of city infrastructure.
Earlier it was reported that Cuba’s energy system was out of order after a failure at a thermal power plant.
The Russian embassy said that the time frame for restoring electricity in Cuba is unknown.
