Targeted checks of the Economic Crime Prosecution Sub-Directorate of the Organized Crime Directorate, were carried out on Friday afternoon (27/12) in two shops of health interest in the center of Athens, where it was found that – as the case may be – the installation and operation of illegal games of chance via computer.
A total of 6 people were arrested in both stores, while the case filed for violation of gaming legislation includes the owner of one store, who is wanted.

In more detail, in the first shop, the owner and organizer illegally allowed the gambling game “fruits” to be played, via a computer, to a patron – player, while a waitress and a cleaner of the shop provided simple cooperation in the above act.
Furthermore, it was found that the owner had installed security cameras in the store, without having a license from the competent Authority.
Therefore, all of the above were arrested while the following were confiscated from the store:

-55 central computer units, the screens of which depicted the game of chance “slots”,
-3 central computer units, which were a control and management center (server),
-58 monitors, 51 keyboards and 55 PC mice,
-11 room surveillance cameras, digital recorder and remote control and
-3,250 euros.
At the same time, in the second store, it was found that the temporary manager, acting on behalf of the owner of the store who was not arrested, had installed electronic computers, the screens of which depicted the game of chance “fruits”, without the permission of the competent Authority.
From the search at the store in question, the following were found and confiscated:

-7 complete electronic computers, which depicted the game of chance “slots”,
– computer, which was a control and management center (server),
– remote control and
-3,285 euros.
Those arrested for the installation and organization of the illegal games of chance, with the files filed against them, were brought to the competent prosecution authority.
